The Art of the Brick makes a stop in Amsterdam during its international tour to allow visitors to marvel at incredible original sculptures and re-creations made entirely of LEGO® blocks by American artist Nathan Sawaya!

Typically regarded as a child's toy, Sawaya uses LEGO® building blocks as his material of choice to create both abstract original sculptures and re-creations of masterpieces such as The Thinker by Rodin, the Mona Lisa by Da Vinci and the Girl with a Pearl Earring by Vermeer.

Using just about a million blocks, Sawaya has created more than 70 sculptures and has been exhibiting them all over the world since 2007.

Much more than just child's play, CNN has names it one of the world's top 10 must-see exhibitions in 2011.

The exhibition at the Amsterdam EXPO is of course suitable for the whole family and includes an interactive play area where visitors can express their own artistic side with the blocks.
